Every week, every day, every minute and every second reality becomes a statistic. Worldwide women and children are being unbearably and brutally attacked, whether it be emotional, verbal, sexual, physical, financial or even spiritual. Manipulation and mutilation scar the human psyche and innocent victims fall prey to the vicious cycle of abuse.

Abuse comes in many forms. Whether physical, sexual or emotional, abuse scars its victims. In some cases abuse can be so subtle victims live for years not realizing how another person compromised their quality of life. Unknowingly, victims can continue the abuse by placing themselves in unsafe places and life-threatening situations. The reality and ramifications of their past and present abuse often eludes victims until a third-party steps up to intervene, support, and listen. Often only then can abuse victims escape the abusive relationship or situation, seek justice and heal.

Founded in 2012, The Global Women’s Empowerment Network (GWEN) is a nonprofit organization that uses cutting-edge technology and multimedia programming to raise awareness and funds to support and heal women and children who have suffered abuse of all kinds.
