GWEN Talks features the “Coming Out Coach” Rick Clemons
On February 2, GWEN Talks featured the “Coming Out Coach” Rick Clemons
tackling important issues in the LGBT community including domestic violence in
same-sex relationships, hate crimes and abuse.
The author, speaker, and dating, life and sex coach shared his personal story
and talked about how he became certified to help others realize their purpose and
passion and feel confident with their sexual orientation.
Using his own journey as an example, Clemons detailed a personal crisis when
he was a 38-year-old married father and he “uncovered” that he was gay and
shared how he triumphed to live with self-love, self-respect and confidence as a
gay man, father and ex-husband.
Previewing the discussion Clemons said, “Along the way I learned to honor
myself first, continue to give love and respect to my ex-wife, children, parents
and friends without expectation and allow others to be in my new journey in their

Clemons is a certified professional coach trained in the Core Energy coaching
modality by the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching, an International
Coaching Federation accredited school. He has also trained to become a
master practitioner of the Energy Index Assessment which he calls the True U
Assessment that identifies the energetic truths that hold people hostage from
living freely in their own skin and in their own way with utmost confidence.
He said, “Whether gay, straight, male, female – it doesn’t matter. We all have
truths that, once released, enable us to come out and live fully in our lives.”
